Here at FBC Thibodaux, our goal is to equip the people of God to do the work of God, and the music ministry’s purpose is to do the same. Our desire is to point people’s attention and focus, along with their hearts and adoration, to the praising of our almighty king Jesus. We believe that the music ministry is another ministry that teaches the truth of God’s word as well as blesses God’s people. We sing doctrinal songs that have been written according to scripture. We gather here every week celebrating God’s goodness and grace. We celebrate Jesus’ finished work on the cross and our freedom gained because of it. We understand that it is not our own doing, but God’s working hand in our lives that causes us to love and adore him.
Our song selection is rooted from the text that is being preached that week. Our music style is contemporary with a full worship team of many different instrumentation. Our goal is to sing songs that are uniting and acceptable for the whole congregation to sing. Our songs range from the newest worship songs to hymns written in 1837. Our music team here also writes original music to lead in worship.
